Our Vision and Mission

Jesus Christ willingly went to the Cross, died and arose again three days later, to accomplish the desires of His Father. God, the Father, has the strongest desire to bring those He created back to Him. Jesus is the Way. From the Garden of Eden, we, His created masterpieces, have struggled to find our way back home again. The VISION of the Cross of North Alabama is simple and yet profound: Bring all people together to honor God, serve Him and live for Him while recognizing the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our salvation.

Our MISSION is to build a significant cross and place it overlooking the heart of Morgan County for all its citizens to see and admire, and also to be a place for ALL to come to and lay their burdens at its feet. The cross we build will be “The lighthouse on the hillside, overlooking stormy seas”. Jesus calming the storms of life is the message of the cross.

Phase 2 Completed and Planned Activities

Pay off remaining Phase 1 debt
Continue to raise funds to support Phase 2 projects and sustain ongoing costs for maintenance, power, irrigation, etc.
Plan and initiate Legacy Brick Program and other recurring fund-raising activities
Enhance physical security to the site
Provide irrigation to cross site
Procure and install sod
Landscape flower beds and surrounding grounds
Pour concrete pad and sidewalk
Provide road access from Shoal Creek Road to cross site
Install a parking lot
Install benches and sunshades
Procure and install interactive prayer stations
